ConDFW report

well, I didn't do as much interacting as I usually like to try to do -- it is the bane of the shy to try and bubble at conventions...lol -- because I felt like I was coming down with the flu or something Friday and half of Saturday, but then my friends rallied around me and got me straightened out -- literally -- and then I was babbling all thru dinner as the pent up energy rushed out. It was really rather amazing.

My panels all went very well. I had the pleasure of sitting next to Carole Nelson Douglas at one of them, and turned all "fan girl" over Midnight Louie, because I had just read my first one. Such a charming lady.

Aside from panels, I spent most of my free time casing the dealer's room and trying to shill for my chapbook. Wasn't as good at it as usual, but we did sell six or seven, so it wasn't a total waste. I was doing really great on the other end of the spectrum -- not spending any money -- until I heard Roxanne Conrad read from her upcoming sequel to Glass Houses, and had to run buy the first one so I would know what was going on in the next one when it is released. So...of course then the floodgates were open, and I had way too much fun with books.

I must say that one of my favorite parts of the weekend was rooming with alfreda89. I enjoyed our lovely talks on the four hour drives up and back.

And I finally came to a firm decision on one of my books that I have been teetering back and forth on, so I have a full plate in front of me. Back to work!
